Ace Apparel Company publishes product coverage, buying guides, and apparel journalism. This page explains the standards that govern every article we publish — how products are selected, how information is verified, how we handle affiliate relationships, and what we do when we get something wrong.
How We Select Products
Products featured on Ace Apparel Company are selected based on five criteria: relevance to our audience, quality of construction and materials, usefulness for the stated purpose, value relative to price, and availability through reputable retailers. Products are identified through brand research, reader inquiries, and editorial judgment. Affiliate commission rates do not determine which products are selected, which products receive favorable coverage, or which products are excluded. A product with no affiliate relationship may be featured; a product with an affiliate relationship may receive critical coverage or be excluded entirely if it does not meet our standards.
Affiliate Revenue and Editorial Independence
Ace Apparel Company earns commissions when readers purchase through affiliate links on this site. This is how we fund our editorial operations. Our affiliate relationships do not guarantee favorable coverage, positive reviews, or inclusion in any article. Products are selected editorially before affiliate links are added — not the other way around. Sponsored content, paid placements, and brand-funded articles are labeled clearly at the top of the page. Unlabeled content reflects independent editorial judgment.
Prices and Availability
Prices and product availability are set by third-party retailers and can change at any time without notice. Prices displayed on this site are provided for reference and may not reflect the current price at the retailer. We do not guarantee that a product will be in stock or available at the price shown. Always verify the current price and availability directly with the retailer before making a purchase decision.
Testing and Personal Experience Claims
We do not describe products as tested, tried, worn, or personally evaluated unless genuine testing or personal use occurred. When an editor has personally used a product, that is stated explicitly in the article. When coverage is based on brand specifications, manufacturer documentation, or third-party sources, that is stated explicitly. We do not fabricate testing experience. Product reviews include a disclosure box at the top of the article stating the basis for the coverage.
Accuracy and Content Updates
We review articles periodically and update them when product specifications change, prices shift significantly, products are discontinued, or new information becomes available. When an article is updated, the update date is noted at the top of the article. Substantive updates — changes to recommendations, corrections to factual claims, or additions of new products — are noted with a brief description of what changed and why.
Corrections
When we publish a factual error, we correct it promptly. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date the correction was made and a brief description of what was changed. We do not silently edit articles to remove errors without noting the change. If you believe an article contains a factual error, contact us through our contact page. We review all correction requests and respond to those that identify genuine errors.
Sponsored Content and Paid Placements
Any content that was paid for, sponsored, or produced in partnership with a brand is labeled clearly at the top of the page with a disclosure such as 'Sponsored' or 'Paid Partnership.' Sponsored content does not receive the same editorial treatment as independent coverage. Readers should evaluate sponsored content with that context in mind. We do not publish sponsored content that makes false or misleading claims about a product.
Sources and Verification
Factual claims in our articles are sourced from brand documentation, manufacturer specifications, independent testing organizations, regulatory filings, or other verifiable primary sources. We distinguish between verified facts and editorial opinion. When we express an opinion about a product, we label it as such. We do not present speculation as fact.
